Hullo.

Thought I'd join this as an attempt to improve my dolling. I'm still fairly new at this, but I do try hard. Seemed like a good idea ot get involved in a community, see if I can pick up any pointers, make some friends, try my hand at contests.

Nah, that's just one of the stock images. Edit: Whipped up a little semi self portrait on Wayuki's Kawaii Base.

Here's a set I did on the KH Sunflower based, designed to look like characters from a game I was playing at the time.



I'm not to pleased with the skirt on the fourth one, but the last and the first two I'm rather proud of.

and I already have a pointer for you
you need to take away the signature of the base maker off the doll
maybe you could make a signature for yourself or just do no name that's fine too!

I must say that your dolls are really good fow a new doller!
you already get the idea of folds and details ^^

I don't know if you now the basic dolling rules but you can find them on my website under netiquette ^^
always handy before you will get a lot of angry dollers at your neck!

I've been interested in it for a while, but never really tried it until recently. Read the general netiquitte rules in a couple places before I started, and always check the particulars of the bases I use.

Will keep that in mind for the future. Thanks.

I do like the blue hair, it came out so nice and shiny.

It took me six tries or so to settle on the outline for the last doll's outfit.

At some point I really will have to fix the skirt on the second from the right. I'd scrap it entirely but the wings took so long and they're so pretty.

I can't take full credit for the designs, since they're based on the game 3 Stars of Destiny by Alan Pendragon, but since the the character are is limited pretty much to face shots and the game sprites, I had to get a bit creative.

My avatar is purely me, based on my favorite outfit and the way I used to have my hair. I've cut and dyed it back to natural since, but I always did like the super long purple bangs. I couldn't fit glasses onto a base that tiny without making them look gigantic,though. And I do own contacts, I jsut never bother with them except for special occasions...

I made a new doll. Yay! This is the first one I've done without having and sort of reference other than my mental image of the character. @__@ Too much hair... It was a pain to shade.

I tried to add more shading and highlights to the shirt, but they aren't working very well... The jeans are just....bleh. I don't know what to do with her bottom.
